Join an Adventure and Create Your Character

Get invited to an adventure by joining the D20 Discord server.
Be sure to review the game details for information about posting frequency, age requirements, game style, and more. D20 Adventures is a mix of play-by-post and real-time chat gameplay.
When joining the game, you will be asked to sign up with Discord to create your D20 Adventures account.

You will be asked to create a character before joining an adventure.
To get started, you can provide some basic information about your character, then add more details like attributes, skills, abilities, spells, and inventory. The last step is to create or upload an image for your character then submit to the storymaster for approval to be added to the adventure.
Turn-Based Narrative Gameplay

At the beginning of each turn, an initiative roll determines the order for when characters post replies.
When it is the player's turn, they can send a response to the storymaster who will then review it and update the turn narrative.

The storymaster can request a dice roll to determine the outcome of a character's action.
The structure of the game is designed to be light on rules. If the roll is high, good things happen. If the roll is low, not so much.

As the turn continues, the narrative is updated with the latest events from player responses, NPC actions and dice rolls.
